Dear Residents of Lake Worth,
We will be hosting a Citizens Police Academy in January. We do not have a date yet since we want to gauge if there are enough people interested in attending. Last year we had 22 people in the class. The Academy is free and it involves meeting once a week here at the district 14 station. There will be guest speakers from different departments of the Sheriff’s Office. There will also be a field trip to the jail, communications (dispatch) and the aviation unit (helicopters). This academy is 8 to 9 weeks long and we will meet once a week for about 3 hours there will be food and drinks provided for everyone. The class meets in the evening usually after 5 pm. If anyone has any questions or is interested please call me D/S Lozano 436-1350 or D/S Kovalski 662-2320.
