Commissioner
Scott Maxwell
City of Lake Worth, Florida
I believe that when the citizens vote for members of our Commission, they vote for someone to who will help govern our City wisely, demonstrate fiscal restraint and discipline, craft good policy when necessary, and will professionally represent Lake Worth to other governmental levels at the County, State and Federal level as well as to new potential businesses.
Other expectations of our voters is for Commissioners to seek opportunities to learn new governance ideas and techniques, network with others to identify best practices and seek opprtunities for Training and Development.
From time to time I do have the opportunity to participate in training seminars and conferences offered by organizations such as the National League of Cities, the Leadership Institute and others.
These opportunities often provide access to new governance concepts to better serve the taxpayer, as well as new and creative ideas and resources to help better achieve the mutual goals for a better Lake Worth.
Why not come along with me and share the experiences from some of the the trips I've taken that speak directly to some of what I believe our voters expect from thier Commissioners!
Click any of the links below and hear and experience for yourself how I am making the best use of my time and our city resources to gain as much knowledge and insight into how to best serve you in the short, and long term.
You will see that my time away from Lake Worth is organized, well spent and fully documented.
Please note that audio files contained behind the links below are actual recordings of essentially each any every training seminar or meeting I have participated in. I must caution you though, every day during these opportunities is jam packed with one meeting or session right after another!
These audio files will eventually (sooner I hope..)have the actual desciption of the type of function I attended along with any comments I might consider important to share with you.
Please connect to any or all of the following links and follow along with me as together we put your tax dollars to work!
Be sure and write down your questions or suggestions about any of the "stops" along your journey with me.
I am looking forward to hearing from you on how together we might make the best use the new tactics, techiques and resources experienced during the journey to make Lake Worth a much better place during our next 100 years!
Note: Please let me know if you experience any difficulty with receiving the audio.
